The film stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev (captain of Indian cricket team 1983), while Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Sahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Pankaj Tripathi as PR. Man Singh, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shastri, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Vijay Varma as Roger Binny and Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, as the players of the Indian cricket team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The movie depicts the incredible journey of the Indian cricket team who got to win their first-ever 1983 Cricket World Cup. It would be interesting to see Ranveer reprising the role of Kapil Dev in the movie.
