About Toofaan Movie

Toofaan is a sports drama film that has been directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and the screenplay is by Vijay Maurya and Anjum Rajabali. It stars Farhan Akhtar as Aziz Ali aka Ajju Bhai, a national-level boxer, Mrunal Thakur as Pooja Shah and Paresh Rawal as the Coach alongside Mohan Agashe, Vijay Raaz, Darshan Kumar and Hussain Dalal in supporting characters.

Toofan has been produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra under the production banners Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures. The film was originally scheduled to release theatrically in October 2020 but the release was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After the new release date being announced on 21st May 2021, Toofaan has been postponed again, to an indefinite time, due to the massive 2nd wave of Covid-19 in India.
