JBM Electric Vehicles Secures Order to Deliver 200 Electric Buses to LeafyBus
JBM Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd on Wednesday said it has signed an agreement with LeafyBus for supplying 200 electric buses in the next two years. Under the agreement, JBM Electric Vehicles will deliver 200 electric intercity buses comprising 150 high-end electric luxury intercity coaches and 50 e-buses tailored for staff and tourist applications, the company said in a statement. The deliveries are to be completed within the next 24 months, it added.
"This association is a testament to JBM's commitment to fostering sustainable development and zero emission technologies," JBM Group Vice Chairman Nishant Arya said.
The electric buses will be equipped with advanced battery technology, fast-charging capabilities, and intelligent fleet management systems. JBM projects that these buses will reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 400,000 tons and save 140 million liters of diesel over their operational lifetime.

JBM Electric Vehicles, a subsidiary of JBM Auto Ltd, has accumulated 150 million e-kilometers with its electric buses since their launch in 2018. The company operates the world's largest dedicated electric bus manufacturing facility outside China, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 buses.
