'12th Fail' to stream on Disney+ Hotstar

Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's "12th Fail" will have its digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on December 29. Starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr, the film released in theatres on October 27 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

Disney+ Hotstar announced the movie's premiere date on its official X page on Saturday.

The movie is based on the true story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, an IPS officer who overcame extreme poverty and failure to achieve his dreams. Manoj comes from a small village in Chambal, where education is not valued and cheating is rampant. He fails his 12th-grade exams, shattering his hopes of a better life. Discouraged and lost, he takes up odd jobs to support his family.

Vikrant Massey as Manoj Kumar Sharma: The protagonist of the film, Manoj is a young man who dreams of becoming a police officer. He is determined and hardworking, but he faces many challenges on his path to success. 

Medha Shankar as Shraddha Joshi: Manoj's wife and a source of strength and support for him. She is also a civil servant, and her success motivates Manoj to achieve his own goals.
