Shilpa Shetty's Sukhee Trailer is All About Self Love, Patriarchy, Women Empowerment

Shilpa Shetty Kundra is all set to make her big screen comeback with her upcoming movie "Sukhee" after a year-long break. Sukhee's official trailer was released on September 6th and the release date is scheduled to be September 22nd 2023. The movie also stars Amit Sadh, Chaitanya Chaudhary, Kiran Kumar and Kusha Kapila in pivotal roles. Kusha seems to be having a great time in Mumbai with her packed movie schedules.

Sukhee movie boosts the women-led team, in which Sonal Joshi is the debutant director, Radhika Anand is the story writer, and Paullomi Dutta is the screenplay writer. The movie is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of Sukhee's (Shilpa Shetty) life and what a day of her daily routine looks like. Shilpa is seen doing her domestic duties for her working husband, a school-going daughter, and a father-in-law.

Her monotonous routine goes on autopilot mode until she receives an invitation to her school reunion after which her life takes an unexpected turn. However, her husband does not go well with the reunion idea and demeans her by not ‘allowing' her to visit her friends in Delhi for the “aiyashi". Sukhee becomes a rebel and takes the train leaving her husband to deal and struggle with the kitchen and other daily chores.

Sukhee feels the mother's guilt but her friend, portrayed by Kusha Kapila does not give up on this new experience. You'll see Sukhee's new avatar in which she ditches her kurtis and wears red dresses, drinks unlimited with her girl gang, and curses to her heart's desire when she overhears a few men complaining about how every film that depicts women empowerment showcases the same story.
