How to  clean art prints at home?

  • Superficial cleaning: Tap the painting gently to remove any accumulated loose dirt.
  • Vacuum cleaner with soft bristle brush: To remove dirt, dismantle it using a soft bristle brush. Use a vacuum cleaner to collect these particles.
  • Damp cloth: In case of stubborn stains, gently rub the painting with a cotton swab or a micro-fibre cloth damped in warm water. Place the painting in direct sunlight to dry it quickly.
  • High absorbent food items: Clean your artwork by gently rubbing it with food items such as bread (removed crust) or peeled potato slices. You can also apply drops of lemon juice on the affected area. Remove the residuals using a soft brush.
  • Cotton and spirit: Dip a cotton swab in spirit, petrol, or alcohol and gently rub it over the affected areas for cleaning. However, some chemical inks react with spirit; check on a small area first. 
  • Professional cleaners: You can also clean your painting using cleaners designed for oil paintings.
