Coffee Homemade Soap

Here's a really easy coffee & almond oil homemade soap to make over the weekend. The formula contains freshly ground coffee that helps exfoliate dull, dry skin, and a sprinkling of almond oil to provide nourishment where you need it. Exfolating Coffee & Almond Oil Homemade Soap

Tools & Ingredients (for 12 soaps)

• 500 grams Goat Milk Soap Base
• A large kitchen knife 
• 1 tbsp freshly ground coffee
• 1 tsp almond oil
• 1 tsp vanilla fragrance (optional)
• Microwaveable glass vessel
• Rubbing alcohol spray
• Soap moulds 

How to Make It

  In a glass vessel, microwave 500 grams of the freshly-cut cubes at 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval till the homemade soap solution's melted. Alternatively, use a steel pan on very low heat, or use a double boiler (you can refer to step 1 of this article to find out how to set up a double boiler at home.) You don't want to overheat the soap base, since that will burn it.

  Now, stir in 1 tbsp freshly ground coffee, 1 tsp almond oil and 1 tsp vanilla fragrance (optional - you can go without it) into your homemade soap solution. You can grind your coffee beans with a mortar & pestle, or a rolling pin.

  Pour your homemade soap mixture into soap moulds and let it set for a few hours. While it's setting, spray it with rubbing alcohol to prevent bubble formation.
