Helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the spy thriller, Khufiya is based on Amar Bhushan's espionage novel Escape to Nowhere. Netflix has come up with the Khufiya release date which will be on 5 October 2023.

Speaking about the spy thriller, Khufiya, in an interview with News18, Vishal Bhardwaj said, “I have changed the gender of the character for Tabu. I always find a reason to work with Tabu. Khufiya is a really special project for me. The entire team has worked very hard to create a suspenseful, slow-burning thriller, and with Netflix, we are thrilled to present the film to audiences globally.”

In an interview with PTI Tabu said- “It's thrilling, but different, like a classic Vishal film with his signature touch. We also have a fantastic ensemble cast, and it was so much fun collaborating with them. It is a personal film for all of us because we shot it quietly in Delhi, then in Canada. It's a world that will, hopefully, pull you in”.
