Tips and Tricks for feeding a growing kitten

  • Don't immediately switch from a liquid diet to a solid diet. Feed it a mixture of liquid diet and dry food and keep increasing the quantity of dry food gradually, eventually switching to a completely dry meal.
  • During a switch, gradually increase the quantity from 25% in the first two days, 50% in the next two days to eventually 80-100% by the end of the week. Following the same principle increase the quantity on a monthly basis.
  • Always keep a clean water dish available at all times; dry food dehydrates the kitten.
  • Do not serve the kitten raw eggs; it causes hair fall and poor hair coat.
  • Uncooked meat or human food is not only inadequate for kittens but can even be unsafe.
  • If the kitten is unresponsive to food or shows disinterest, refer to a veterinarian doctor immediately; healthy kitten love to eat.
