Fun Indoor Activities For Energetic Kids
Parents of highly energized kids often fear them "tearing down the House", as these kids are loud, noisy and have a lot of energy. It often gets better with age, but until then, you have to be really smart when planning activities or games for them. These kids can bounce to get the wiggles out. Below we shall provide you some ways that'll help to burn off a little steam because as parents, you'll know that if kids with high-energy have nothing to do, they'll surely find something!
Fun Indoor Activities For Energetic Kids
1. Play Badminton with Balloons and Cardboard Paddles
Pick the size of balloons you want and blow up the air to make them ready to play. Once done with this, with the help of a cutter or scissors, cut the cardboard in the shape of Paddles. Voila, the game is ready to play. All your kids have to do is hit balloons back and forth with these homemade cardboard paddles. Let the game begin, Love-All!
2. Play with Ping Pong Balls or Lightweight Balls
Create a challenge by placing disposable glasses in the shape of a triangle or any other. Ask kids to throw ping pong balls into the target to score a point. You can play this along with your kids or let them complete the game with other kids in the house.
3. Play Hopscotch: But Indoors!
Now there's a catch, you don't have to go out. Take out a blanket and ask your child to create a Hopscotch playmat using masking tape. The best part of handmade Hopscotch playmat is that you can roll it or unfold it whenever required. You can also remove the tape and wash the blanket when it gets dirty and, then later make a new one.
4. Cotton Ball Shooter Challenge
Make small pieces of the cotton and create a shape challenge using a bowl or a disposable glass. Ask your kid to shoot the cotton ball into the target. The more falls into the target, the more you score.
5. Ice Throwing Game
Take out ice cubes in a plastic container and let the boys throw the ice out into the street. They will love to see the ice break on the street and will keep them engaged.
6. Card Pyramid
Now this requires a lot of patience. Take the play cards and ask your child to create a pyramid out of it. If you've more than one kid at home, you can ask them to compete. The sooner you make, the faster you win.
7. Board Games
This can never go wrong, be it carom, chess, ludo or any other board game. These kinds of games develop competitive spirit within the kids.
8. Dance
Everyone likes to groove and so do kids. They can dance on the songs that are playing on TV or any audio speaker. You can challenge your little professional dancers to invent a new dance style or dance on a contrasting song and show their skills.
