One of India's newest FMCG brands Patanjali is now all set to launch its e-commerce platform- OrderMe. Not just a website, the venture will a mobile application as well.

Apart from Patanjali goods, consumers will also be able to avail a whole lot of goods manufactured by Indian companies, complying with the venture's idea of selling swadeshi good (Indian goods).

It is being said that the OrderMe App will be quite unique. The goods will be delivered to the consumers within just a few hours of ordering.

The OrderMe e-commerce platform is believed to give strong competition to the well-settled platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. The Yoga guru turned entrepreneur Baba Ramdev's brand Patanjali's announcement to launch a swadeshi e-commerce app came in just a few days after the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to go 'Vocal for Local'.

As per the reports,  Ramdev's subordinate Archarya Balkrishna said, "OrderMe will only supply and endorse swadeshi products. It is Patanjali's effort to contribute to our long-standing swadeshi movement by connecting all the local retailers and small shop owners so that those selling swadeshi products can benefit from our platform. They can join the platform and the plan is to deliver their products free of cost."

The app has been developed by Patanjali's in-house IT team in collaboration with New Delhi based Bharuwa Solutions. The app is all set to launch across all platforms and will soon be available for download from Google PlayStore and Apple Store as well.

Apart from delivering products, the OrderMe app might also provide free health consultation to users. Customers will be able to take health consultation from over 1,500 doctors associated with Patanjali.

OrderMe Launch Date

Though there isn't a confirmation on a fixed date for the launch of the app yet, it is believed that it might be launched by the end of this month.
