Jio Comes With New Plans For Postpaid Users
Reliance Jio has come up with its new postpaid plans. The plans will be available with subscriptions such as Amazon Prime, Disney + Hotstar, and Netflix, and have been announced by Reliance to fetch customers from its rivals.
This time Jio has introduced postpaid plans for other telecom companies also for carrying the credit limit to Jio network in case of porting to Jio connections.
The move has been announced at a time when most telecom companies are finding it difficult to increase tariffs in this competitive scenario. Currently, Jio is much behind when it comes to postpaid subscribers' base. Jio's postpaid subscribers' base is just 1% of its total user base, making it very weak when compared to its competitors such as Airtel and Vodafone Idea. Both Airtel and Vodafone Idea have 5% to 7% of postpaid customers.
After satisfying prepaid users, Jio is now digging for opportunities to make its postpaid user base as strong. Currently, it has more than 400 million customers in its prepaid base category.
The new plan from Jio will be available from September 24. The first plan from Jio postpaid will start from Rs.399/month, and will give customers 75GB data, unlimited voice calling with subscriptions of Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney + Hotstar, Jio Cinmea, Jio Saavn, and many other benefits including international roaming, international calling, home delivery of sim, and customer support. This time, Jio has also come up with in-flight connectivity for Indian travellers flying abroad.
Soon Jio will also launch its smartphones to complement its new postpaid customers, further adding to its efforts of developing a strong postpaid user base.
