Katrina Kaif Invests An Undisclosed Amount In Nykaa On 1 Year Anniversary Of Kay Beauty
Katrina Kaif, in October 2019, had launched her beauty brand Kay Beauty on online beauty retail platform Nykaa, and became widely popular for her range of cosmetics.
Apart from the 30 million visitors per month on its website, the eight year old Nykaa also runs about 50 physical outlets across India, which they are looking at increasing to 180 in the coming times.
Nykaa has benefitted widely because of its celebrity endorsements and push they get through the celeb social channels.
Since its inception in 2012, the brand has raised more than $145.9 mn from Steadview Capital, Lexdale, TPG Growth, Lighthouse Funds and others. It has also claimed profitability and claims to fulfil nearly 1.5 mn orders per month from over 1.5K brands.
Housing luxury brands such as Dior, Tom Ford, Clinique, Jo Malone London, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Huda and Givenchy, Nykaa has unmasked luxury for Indian buyers. Today, Nykaa is a retailer of over 1,500 brands, and has also expanded into clothing and apparel.
On the one year anniversary of its collaboration with the Bollywood diva's cosmetic brand, Kay Beauty, Nykaa is celebrating by extending to its buyers 20% off on all Kay Beauty cosmetics.
Kay Beauty has a gamut of products to offer including eye liners, eye shadows, nail paints, highlighters, lipsticks, makeup brushes, tools, and more.
With a growing brand equity and affinity, Nykaa has gained recognition in the online e-retail business and also grabbed a huge mind share in the minds of celebrities. Other than Katrina Kaif, Alia, Jhanvi Kapoor, Masaba Gupta, all have embraced the brand.
