OnePlus Nord is coming to India on July 21, and some fresh images of the front and back of the new phone have surfaced on the internet.

The Nord, OnePlus has confirmed, will be launched on July 21 in an AR event. Following the image leaks, the Chinese phone maker also confirmed the launch of the OnePlus Nord by posting stories about it on its Instagram handle.

The phone company is now busy promoting the mid-range device, catching a lot of eyeballs in markets across India and Europe, where the phone is set to be launched — as confirmed by OnePlus' co-founder Carl Pei.

As per information shared so far, the phone will not have an LCD display, but rather will have an AMOLED display, which is basically a thin-film technology. This is surely an added feature for this mid-range phone, as AMOLED displays are usually seen in more premium phones.

The OnePlus Nord is also confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor, and equipped with Optical Image Stabilisation(OIS). This is a technique that reduces blurring associated with the motion of a camera.

The phone also sports a quad rear camera setup, which will include a 48MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP wide angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

Reportedly, the device will be priced at LEU 2,230.99 (approximately Rs.40,200) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant.

The news of this launch comes at a time when India is aggressively boycotting Chinese goods, and just recently banned 52 Chinese phone applications. And amid this increasingly widespread sentiment of abandoning Chinese goods, how Indians will actually perceive the Nord is yet to be seen.
