Sony’s Wearable AC: Too Cool To Resist

Introduced last summer, Sony's wearable Air Conditioner (AC)- the Reon Pocket is now being sold in Japan, and through Sony's online stores as well as Amazon.

The personal, wearable AC was initially meant to be launched at the Olympics 2020, that were to be held in Tokyo, but then saw a delay due to the current pandemic situation.

The personal AC- Reon Pocket is priced at 13,000 Yen in Japan, which is about Rs.9,000.

One will be able to control this device using a smartphone app to activate and control the cooling.

This portable wearable AC from Sony is compact in size and flaunts a minimalistic design and looks almost like a mouse and is about the size of a palm.

This easy to carry and use personal AC from Sony will work on body temperature lowering technology.

The wearable AC is meant to fit into the back collar of a specially designed t-shirt, sitting just below the neck at the back. This means the device will help cool down the body while its fan will pull all the warm air out. This air conditioner will however not be effective on the wearer's face.

This interesting product will not just help lower the body temperature but can also help raising it during the winter months. Reportedly, the device will be able to cool the wearer's body temperature by 13 degrees and raise it by roughly 8 degrees.
