Nothing can beat the satisfaction of a sizzling plate of momos coming straight from a momo steamer. This Tibetan delicacy has become a street food staple in the Indian metro cities and is a go-to snack for many.

So much is the craze for these little bundles of joy, that chefs have started innovating their recipes and have had served the connoisseurs with different varieties such as cottage cheese momos, momos chaat, achari momos, mozzarella momos, and even chocolate momos, to name a few!

While the menus of chic cafes and kiosks are flooded with these varieties, nutritionists vouch for the good old steam momos that have much lower calorie content as compared to other versions, especially the fried ones.

While it's nearly impossible to ignore the flavourful aroma coming from the steamer of a roadside momo kiosk, the risk of infections stays high. This mainly stems from the unhygienic conditions of their preparation and storage, and the quality of ingredients used.
