After the termination of the Reliance Jio Summer Surprise, the company in its updated plan has reduced the validity from 84 days to 56 days. The validity of the Dhan Dhana Dhan plan launched earlier in April this year has increased its validity to 90 days. However this plan has become 33% costlier for the consumers.

309 plan has now been diminished to 56 days only. The upgradation in the new plans has come up as a crucial relief to all its major incumbents like Vodafone, Airtel, Idea Cellular and BSNL. However the voice from Jio to any network remains free, which is a major drawback for its competitors as they do not provide such services.
“The move is largely on expected lines... It provides some breather (not relief) to the industry that has been reeling under the Jio promotion onslaught,” said Kotak Securities in a report.
The new plans, has given place to small-value recharges, that will be effectively available from Tuesday for all new as well as existing subscribers.
“Over and above the Prime exclusive plans, Jio is introducing new ‘Every Day More Value’ plans. These plans provide 20% more value than competitors’ best plans,” Jio statement added.
