The world's biggest cricketing league, Tata IPL (Indian Premier League), will start from March 26, 2022. The 15th season of the tournament will be played in India and 10 teams will participate in it. Last year, IPL was played in two phases due to rising COVID-19 cases. The first phase was held in India while the second one was played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This year, IPL has returned to India and unlike previous seasons, the teams are divided into two groups. Each team has to play 14 matches in the group stage as they will play twice against the teams of their group and a team from the other group. While the teams also have to compete once against the 4 teams from the other group.

In Group A, the five-time champion team Mumbai Indians (MI), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are included, and in the Group B, the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Gujarat Titans (GT) will fight amongst each other to reserve their spots in the playoffs. IPL Ticket Prices

IPL ticket prices have not been revealed yet by the organisers, but there are some reports that the Maharashtra government will allow 25% crowd at the stadiums for the league matches. The starting date of the league is March 26, 2022, and the first match will be played between the runner-up of the IPL 2021, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the winner of the IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
